When we endure physical or emotional pain, the messages we receive get stuck in our bodies, causing dis-connection from ourselves, others, and our environment. Often, this leads to dis-ease and dis-ordered thinking.

Somatic Release Breathwork™ is a 2-hour integrative group healing experience that releases defensive reactions and rewires your subconscious mind, reconnecting you to your authentic self.

What to Expect

Somatic Release Breathwork™ is a dynamic mix of trauma education and reconstruction of the mind-body-spirit. This powerful combination offers deeper healing than what you might find in a traditional talk therapy setting.

Trauma Education

Somatic Release Breathwork™ begins with education about how trauma affects the nervous system (soma) and changes how humans relate to their external world.

Multi-modal Grounding

We’ll use scent orientation, guided meditation, and centering exercises to ground you into the present moment so that you can feel safe enough to “let go.”

Breathwork with Sound Vibration

The breathwork portion of your session is a 1-hour Sound Vibrational experience, along with Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) cues to activate your body's innate ability to heal itself.

Sacred Spaceholding

Each participant will have their own unique experience with an empathetic witness coaching them through the whole process. By feeling safe enough to release the defensive actions in the body, the brain can rewire old subconscious programming.

Somatic (Body) Repatterning

When you are injured on a somatic level, your brain creates subconscious stories of darkness. By giving yourself permission to heal and feel, you’ll reconnect to your own infinite source of love: your heart.

Integration 

At the end of your session, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect through journaling and grounding. If you feel comfortable, you can share your journey with the group to normalize your experience and receive validation.

Meet your guide


I’m Alicia, a licensed Mental Health Professional and Certified Trauma Counselor, Certified Coach, business owner, mother, and holistic ambassador. But at my core, I’m an overcomer.

While surviving intense childhood trauma, I did everything I could do to try to fit in and “appear” normal like everyone else. This only caused me more suffering, shame and heartbreak as I tried to hide the pain of my past and how it defined me. For a long time, I felt different and alone. Refusing to settle, I knew there had to be answers. So I spent every spare moment researching trauma and holistic healing. This allowed me to radically heal my past wounds, deprogram myself from societal norms, and reawaken to my own divinity and purpose here on Earth.

For over 15 years, I’ve empowered my own therapy and coaching clients with the practices that have set me free.

Somatic Release Breathwork™ is more than a therapy session.

It’s an integrative healing ceremony. With your own breath, you’ll release stress, remove emotional blocks, and clear on a mental/psychological level. Somatic Release Breathwork™ is a rapid method to find relief from old wounds and gain newfound clarity and insight into who you are, and how you want to feel.

FAQs

  • Group sessions are typically held one Sunday a month between 10:00 am-12:00 pm EST (in Person) and vary online (Online). Once you register, you’ll receive an email with your specific session details.

  • Once you sign up, you’ll receive details in your email for how and when to join your group session. If you can’t make that time, just click the link to reschedule and pick a date that works for you. Refunds are available 48 hours prior to the session by email request only.

  • Each group session lasts 90 minutes.

  • A group setting gives your body a unique opportunity to feel and release your pain with the support of safe witnesses. However, sometimes I offer individual Somatic Release Breathwork™ sessions under special circumstances. Email me to chat about it and it can be arranged.

  • This is totally up to your preferences and location! In-person sessions are held in Kula Yoga Studio in Hamburg, NY. Virtually, this experience offers just as many benefits as an in-person setting, though you will need to be mindful of unexpected interruptions that may occur with technology and others living in your home.

  • I’m a Mental Health Counselor, Certified Trauma Therapist, and Certified Life Coach with over 15 years of experience. In addition to my Master’s Degree from Saint Bonaventure University, I earned my Life Coaching Certification from the Life Coach Institute. You can read more about my background here.

  • Somatic Release Breathwork™ is a safe practice that uses breathwork to engage your mind, body, and spirit, releasing trauma stuck in your body. That being said, it is contraindicated for people who are pregnant, have a history of seizures, heart conditions or glaucoma. You can always email me if you’re unsure what’s right for you.

  • All Somatic Release Breathwork™ sessions are refundable 48 hours prior to your class by email only. You will be given the opportunity to use your payment toward a future class.

  • Simply register for an in-person or virtual session here. From there, you’ll receive an email with all the details for your session, including date, time, and tips to prepare.

  • Once you begin your sign-up process, you’ll have the option to add a 20-minute follow-up phone call, Voxer support, and/or 1:1 coaching sessions.
